Jim joined Acadian in 2002 as a senior research developer and in 2009, became director of Development, overseeing Acadian’s team of software engineering professionals. In 2010, Jim took on a more senior role as the director of the newly created Model Integration Group, where his focus is to provide enhanced measurement of model efficacy and more objective evaluation of model selection and construction, and to integrate forecast models into Acadian’s investment process. He is also a member of the Acadian Operating Committee. Prior to joining Acadian, Jim was vice president of engineering at Equitel, Inc., and prior to that, held a number of lead engineering positions at early-stage wireless telecom and network management firms. He holds an M.B.A. from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Tufts University. Jim is a CFA charterholder.
