    Mauricio joined Acadian in 2008 and oversees Acadian's Portfolio Construction and Trading Teams. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Operating Committee. Before joining Acadian, Mauricio was head of U.S. algorithmic trading at Citigroup where he built and oversaw their U.S. algorithmic trading platform. Prior to Citi, he was a principal at a statistical arbitrage hedge fund and spent time working as a senior scientist in the financial engineering group at ITG. Mauricio also previously served as an assistant professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at MIT. Mauricio holds a Ph.D. in theoretical computer science from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, as well as an M.S. in computer science from Harvard University and a B.Sc. in computer science from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico City.
