  • Extended Biography
    Mauricio joined Acadian in February 2008 and oversees Acadian's portfolio construction and trading teams. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Operating Committee. Before joining Acadian, Mauricio was head of U.S. algorithmic trading at Citigroup where he built and oversaw their U.S. algorithmic trading platform. Prior to Citi, he was a principal at a statistical arbitrage hedge fund and spent time working as a senior scientist in the financial engineering group at ITG. Prior to his work at ITG, Mauricio served as an assistant professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at MIT. Education: Ph.D., Theoretical Computer Science, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel; M.S., Computer Science, Harvard University; B.Sc., Computer Science, Inst. Technologico de Monterrey, Mexico City.
