Ryan joined Acadian in 2007 and is director of Quantitative Global Macro Research where he leads Acadian’s top-down research efforts, working closely with Acadian’s bottom-up research team. Before joining Acadian, he was a financial economist at the Bank for International Settlements in Switzerland, and prior to that, did consulting work at Financial Crossing, Charles Schwab & Co., and Barclays Global Investors. Ryan also previously conducted research analysis at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He earned his Ph.D. in finance from the University of California at Berkeley and holds a B.A. in economics and mathematics from Vassar College.
